Japanese Study Tour

Welcoming Our Nigawa Gakuin Visitors

We were delighted to welcome students from our sister school in Japan, Nigawa Gakuin, to Mount Alvernia College as part of our long-standing cultural exchange program. After arriving on Friday afternoon, students were greeted by their host sisters and enjoyed a tour of the College before spending the weekend with their host families, experiencing Australian family life and culture firsthand.

Throughout their visit, the students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in daily life at Mt A by attending classes alongside their host sisters and building meaningful connections with students across the College. A range of specially planned activities also gave our visitors a taste of Australian traditions and the beauty of our College grounds. Students baked ANZAC biscuits, learning about an iconic Australian recipe and explored their creativity by creating sun pictures in the beautiful surrounds of the La Foresta gardens.

We thank our host families for their generosity and support in welcoming the students from our sister school and helping make this exchange such a rewarding experience for everyone involved.
