Mt A Maths Week

Pi, Pies and Problem-Solving
Last week, students enjoyed trivia, games, challenges, prizes, and fascinating insights into where mathematics can take you as part of Mt A Maths Week.
The highlight was Wednesday’s Pi Day Celebration, where students tested their memory in the π (Pi) challenge for the chance to pie a teacher in the face. Congratulations to Sophie (Year 8) for recalling over 80 decimal places of Pi! Thank you to Mr Hills for being such a great sport. Thanks also to our La Cucina team, who joined in the Pi Day fun, making a range of sweet and savoury pies available.
Wrapping up the week, guest speakers from engineering and science shared how maths plays a vital role in their careers.
Thank you to Head of Faculty, Mrs Tazzyman, and our Maths teachers for a fantastic week celebrating the power, possibilities, and fun of mathematics!
