Beyond the Bell - Now on Spotify
Thanks to the positive feedback and engagement with our Beyond the Bell podcast since we launched earlier this year, we are excited to announce that all episodes are now available on Spotify for the broader community to enjoy. All episodes will also continue to be available on YouTube.
Episode 4 - Rocking the Chop for a Worthy Cause
Episode four of Beyond the Bell features four members of the Mt A community as they reflect on their involvement in this year’s Rock the Chop Ponytail Project. Ryley (Year 12), Stella (Year 8) and Madison (Year 12), alongside Head of Faculty Miss Bopf, share their personal reasons for participating, the emotions behind the big cut, and the impact of supporting people affected by cancer and alopecia.
From Ryley’s vision to establish the College’s first Ponytail Project team in 2023, to this year’s incredible achievement of 49 participants raising more than $34,000, this conversation explores courage, compassion, community, and the power of giving something deeply personal to help others.
Thank you to our guests for sharing their personal reflections on honouring loved ones, supporting carers and medical professionals, and making a real difference in the lives of those facing cancer.
If there’s a topic that you’d like us to shine a light on in our upcoming episodes of Beyond The Bell, please get in touch with your captains Niamh and Monica via email.
About Beyond the Bell, the Mount Alvernia College Podcast- now on Spotify
Hosted by our College Captains Monica and Niamh, Beyond the Bell is a podcast created to celebrate and share the many stories that make up our Mount Alvernia community. It offers parents, carers, students, staff and the broader community a window into College life beyond the classroom – the moments, conversations and experiences that shape who we are.
Each episode shines a light on the people, passions and purpose that make our College what it is – exploring learning, leadership, wellbeing, faith, service and the everyday moments that matter. It’s about connection, courage and community, and sharing the stories that reflect who we are and who we are becoming.
