In Catholic tradition, the entire month of October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary, with the feast day on 7 October marking its significance. This year all over the world, as part of an initiative promoted by Aid to the Church in Need, children will pray the Rosary together for unity and peace.
You are all invited to pray the rosary as a family daily during this month. Please look out for a flyer sent home earlier in the week to guide you through praying the Rosary.
We ask you to keep our Year Three students in your prayers as they take part in their first Sacrament of Reconciliation next Thursday 15 October @ 7:00pm

Frozen fruit juice treats are back on Fridays!
Commencing this week, our Faith and Social Justice team will recommence selling icy poles at second lunch on Fridays.
If your child would like an icy treat, please send along $1 to purchase and all profits will be donated to St Vincent’s Christmas appeal later in the term.
At St John’s, we are always looking for meaningful ways to support you in nurturing your child's spiritual and moral growth. We know that in today’s busy world, finding time to discuss faith, justice, and values as a family can be challenging.
To help cultivate faith in the home, our school provides all families with full, complimentary access to the Australian Catholics Subscription.
