VM Community Events Wrap Up 

The last few weeks have been a busy (and exciting!) time here at WHSC, and we couldn’t be prouder of our Vocational Major students and the incredible effort they have put into making their Community Events such a success!  From warming everyone up with their Hot Chocolate Fundraiser , to coming together to spread awareness about violence against women, firing up the BBQ for a Year 12 Fundraiser , getting active at their Sports Event  and of course  kicking things off with their very first Movie Day  — our VM students have certainly been busy! Each event has showcased their creativity, teamwork, organisation and willingness to get involved and give back to the community. Most importantly, we have been incredibly impressed by the way our students have conducted themselves throughout each event. 

 WELL DONE to everyone involved!

R U Okay Day

On Thursday 10 September, we celebrated R U OK? Day at WHSC — a day dedicated to checking in with those around us and reminding each other that every conversation can make a difference.

As part of our activities, students gathered in the Learning & Wellbeing Centre on Tuesday 8 September, where they took part in activities focused on connection, wellbeing and looking out for one another.

We were also fortunate to have our local police officers, Michael and some of the newest recruits, join us for the day. It was fantastic to see our students connecting with our local police.
