 Year 11 VCE VM Students Explore Future Career Pathways

Our Year 11 VCE VM students recently participated in an outstanding careers exploration event hosted by Gateway LLEN – Speed X Interviews.  The event provided students with valuable insights into a wide range of industries and future employment opportunities.

Students demonstrated exceptional engagement throughout the day, taking every opportunity to speak with industry professionals, ask questions and learn more about potential career pathways. It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm and a genuine eagerness to explore occupations across many different fields.

Industries represent on the day included Animal Care, Building and Construction, Community Services, Defence Force, Emergency Services, Horticulture, Hospitality, Land Surveying, Sport and Recreation, Transport and Logistics, and Youth Services. Students gained first-hand knowledge about training pathways, workplace expectations, and the diverse career opportunities available within these sectors.

The event provided an excellent opportunity for students to broaden their understanding of the world of work and begin considering the many possibilities available to them after school.

A special thank you to Mr Campbell and Mr Razaai for their support in preparing students for the event and ensuring they were ready to make the most of this valuable experience.

We are proud of the positive way our students represented the school and the enthusiasm they showed towards planning their future careers.

Week 7 - Trade Taster Day 

Week 7 of the Year 10 Trades Taster at Holmesglen Tafe 2026- Refining our pieces

Students refined the pieces started in the first tiling workshop. They also worked on some more creative works, today. Next week will be the final session for this taster program and we will take our productions home.
