Mr Lloga, Mr Reid, Miss R and Miss Gale
In the last two weeks we have been writing our story city. It is where you have to pick a spot on the picture that Mr Lloga drew and then we have to write about it. Everybody in our class wrote their own stories about the spot they picked. After we had written our stories, we had to print them and correct them. After they had been corrected, we had to go back and correct our stories. When we had corrected them, we got to print them out and now they are on the wall next to our story city picture.
We have started working on Kensucke’s Kingdom. It is a story where there is a family and a dog named Stella Artois. We are currently up to page 58 on Kensucke’s Kingdom. I think page 50 was really funny. We have also been looking at how the letter y can make the sound ‘i’ when it is in the middle of a work. Examples are the words rhythm, myth, gym, syrup and symbol.

In the last two weeks we have been learning fractions, equivalent fractions, time and learning how to read analogue clocks. We have been learning fractions and equivalent fractions by saying the fractions and adding fractions into wholes in games of silent ball and showing where the fraction goes on a number line. We did some tests on fractions to see how much we understood it. We worked out how one half is the same as two quarters, which is also the same as four eighths. Now I think that we are getting pretty good with fractions and once you get it then it starts to get kind of fun and pretty easy.

We watched a video that was teaching us how to read an analogue clock and we also coloured in a clock on a piece of paper and cut it out and stuck it in our math book in case we needed it for some other activities when we're going to do some other activities about analogue clocks.

AFLW clinic by Bridget
On Tuesday the 31st of March, we are lucky enough to have some women AFLW come over this afternoon so we can learn some of their really amazing skills of football. We are all super excited to come and do the AFLW clinic. The amazing skills that I would like to learn is that when I kick the footy it will be really good, the same with hand passing and I hope that we will get to play some fun games that could help us be good at footy. I also hope that everyone can enjoy the clinic.
