Mrs Lofts, Miss Mchoul and Miss Haddrick
We have had a wonderful term getting to know everyone and setting ourselves up for the year. We have already seen so many successes in our classroom, and I am so proud of how well everyone has adjusted to a new classroom.
We have wrapped up our unit on The Gruffalo, and the students have been working hard to publish their narratives in the form of a mini picture story book. We have explored many concepts and writing skills including strong verbs, compound sentences, dialogue, and description.
In Numeracy, we have worked hard to consolidate our understanding of Place Value, and Addition and Subtraction. We have learnt new strategies, and created our own numerical problems.
Next term, we welcome Miss Emmi Gale into our classroom to complete her final teaching placement. Emmi is already well known within the school, and we are excited to support her through this final step. Student's recieved a form last week outlining one of the requirements for her assignments, which needed to be signed and returned to school. If you are yet to do this, or require another sheet please let us know.

AFLW Clinic
On Tuesday, we were lucky to have some AFLW players come visit us! Students engaged in a clinic, and were able to ask some questions about

The clinic was good. It was so fun, Liam, Alex and I were so excited for it. We couldn't talk because we were so excited. Thank you Nick, Claire and Maggie for teaching us to play AFL. You are so kind. I wish you could come back to our school lots of times.

The clinic was really fun. I was kicking the ball with Chloe, and I found it confusing because the ball would just go in different directions. My favourite thing about it was that got to kick goals in a competition. My team won.

Today we had some people from AFLW come to the school. First we started with handballs, and then we went to some kicking. We played a little game of which team could kick a goal each. It was fun.
