Mountain Biking Club Championships
Recently the local Mountain Biking Club, CARR, hosted the 2023 Club Championships. Some of the riders out on the field competing and those organising were St Philip’s College students, staff and parents.
Firstly, well done to our two Open Club Champs – current parents, Clarke Petrick and George Landy, taking out Open Male and Open Female respectively. Past student, Tom Stockwell, was not competing this year to defend his club champ status. Mark Harvey (current parent) took out 5th place in his category and 6th overall. Jessica Tudor (past student) came in behind George Landy in 2nd place, and 7th overall. Well done everyone!
In recreational female, it was a close battle between two staff members – Anna Dohler (1st) and Stacey Gill (2nd) – great riding crew!
In the Under 19s Female, Elise Harvey took out 1st place with Scarlet Atkins not too far behind in 2nd. It is awesome to see some up and coming young riders.
This year, we also had a social women's category and it was great to have along student Martha Livingstone, teacher Amy Stenniken, and Sarah Holder (current parent).

- Hour of Power Series – 3 little hit outs on a Saturday evening. 3 events, 3 locations, 3 x the fun, 3 x 1hrs, 3 x lung bust or short social ride - you be the decider.

- Ascending Alice – taking the Gravity Enduro style events and flipping it. Giving riders a hill climbing event! This event will time riders as they climb up a series of hills. Very much a social event!
