P&F Mid-Term Update
This year, I have been sharing P&F updates at the end of each term, but after two major events last weekend, I thought it was the perfect time for a little mid-term update!
School Disco – Friday 14 August
Last Friday night, our Stella students sparkled and shone at our Sparkle & Shine School Disco!
A huge thank you to our wonderful Prep Reps, Lauren Stevenson and Kayla Marshall, for coordinating such a fantastic event. Their incredible attention to detail helped make the night such a success, with everything coming together beautifully for our students.
Supplying dinner was also a big hit with both parents and kids. Thank you to Ferrari Pizza Oakleigh for catering the event, and a special thank you to Daphne Boland for supplying the party pies and fruit platter and to Camilla Warnock for once again generously donating the Smith’s chips.
A big thank you also to the parents who volunteered their time to help and supervise throughout the evening. Events like these rely on the support of our parent community, and we are very grateful to everyone who pitched in to help make the night run so smoothly.
There were plenty of awesome dance moves on display and lots of smiling faces on the dance floor! We hope all the children had a wonderful evening and enjoyed the chance to have some fun with their friends.
Bunnings Sausage Sizzle – Sunday 16 August
Just two days later, we were back at it for our Bunnings Sausage Sizzle fundraiser! The sun was shining, the sausages were sizzling and it was another incredibly successful event.
A huge thank you to Michaela Teschendorff, who did a lot of the heavy lifting in organising the event, supported by Simone Kerley and myself.
I am very proud to announce that we raised over $3500 for our school!
Of course, an event like this simply wouldn't be possible without our incredible parent volunteers who rolled up their sleeves and gave up their time to work a shift (or two!) on the day. There is always such a positive atmosphere at these events and it is something I really enjoy being part of.
Thank you also to all the families who donated items or funds towards the day, and to those who came down to support the fundraiser and enjoy a snag or two! Every contribution helped make the day such a success.
A special thank you to Bakers Delight Beaumaris and Bakers Delight Mentone for generously supplying the bread for the day.
Two big events in one weekend certainly kept us busy, but seeing our community come together and knowing that our efforts are supporting our students makes it all worthwhile.
Now, onto the next P&F event!
