Book Week 2026

Book Week begins on Monday! This is a good week to promote great literature and to foster a love of reading both at school and at home. We're excited to share different experiences and activities with our students in the week ahead.

A friendly reminder that our Book Week Dress Up Day and Parade is on Wednesday August 26 at 9.15am. All students in Prep to Year 6 are invited to dress as a favourite book character. We can't wait to see what our students and families come up with this year. There are plenty of simple costume ideas you might like to consider and lots of DIY options detailed online. 

**Please note, if you usually park on the basketball court in the morning, cars will not be able to remain there during the parade so please park elsewhere if you are staying.  

 Other Book Week events will include a Book Week Character Hunt around the school, a Guess Who? competition matching staff to their favourite books, virtual excursions for many classes with authors or illustrators and a Book Title Emoji Puzzler for families.

 Reading to your child and listening to them read, no matter their age, is a fabulous opportunity. Talk about books you loved as a child, chat about books your child enjoys and make the most of celebrating Book Week 2026. I encourage you to get involved!
