So many wonderful books, amazing costumes and lots of smiles!!

Symphony of Stories with Josh Pyke

As part of our 2026 Book Week celebrations, students in 1/2 A and 1/2 C had the opportunity to participate in Symphony of Stories with Josh Pyke.

Hosted online by State Library Victoria, this special interactive workshop celebrated this year’s Book Week theme, Symphony of Stories. Musician and author Josh Pyke guided students through a creative experience combining music, language and imagination.

Our students worked in pairs to develop ideas and create their song. They also joined students from across Victoria to contribute to a tailor-made song created together in real time.

The workshop was a wonderful opportunity for students to experience the connection between music and storytelling, share their creativity and celebrate the joy of reading in a fun way.
