💬 You Shared, We Listened!

Following feedback from our students and families, we have been looking at ways to make sure the many positives happening across our school are noticed, acknowledged and celebrated.

Our staff have been making an even greater effort to recognise the wonderful choices our students make every day, not just in their learning, but also in the yard, in the way they interact with others, and in how they demonstrate our school values.

Sometimes it is the little things that deserve a big acknowledgement, and we want our students to know that their positive choices, effort and growth are noticed!

🌱 SWPBS – Our Values Learning

As part of our SWPBS learning this term, students have been exploring how helpful and constructive feedback helps us learn, improve and grow. We have discussed what helpful feedback looks and sounds like, learning that it should be kind, specific and focused on helping someone improve.

Students have also been practising how to listen to and respond positively to feedback, using responses such as “Thank you,” “I’ll have another go,” and “I can fix that.” We are learning that feedback doesn’t mean we have failed or done something wrong, it gives us information about what we are doing well and what we can try next.

A big focus has been developing resilience and a positive attitude towards learning. When we listen carefully, make changes and have another go, we are using feedback to become stronger and more confident learners.
