Gumboot-a-thon (R U OK?)
What a fabulous day we had for our Annual Gumbootathon! 💛🥾
R U OK? is such a simple question, but such an important one to ask.We are incredibly proud of the huge effort from our students yesterday. So far, we have raised around $1,600 for R U OK? An amazing achievement for our little school! 💛
A massive THANK YOU to all of our students and families for their wonderful support, our staff, and of course our fantastic parent helpers who gave their time to help make the day possible. It was a wonderful day of walking, talking, supporting one another and coming together as a school community...all while raising money for such an important cause.

Athletics
A huge congratulations to Angus and Hunter on their fantastic efforts representing Cowwarr Primary School at the Wellington level of competition. We are incredibly proud of the way you both represented our school, giving your best and showing great determination and sportsmanship.
A special congratulations to Angus, who achieved an outstanding result in shot put and has now progressed through to the Regional competition! 🎉👏
What a fantastic achievement and a wonderful reward for your hard work and effort. We wish Angus all the very best at Regionals, the whole Cowwarr PS community will be cheering you on!
Book Week
Book Week was once again a fun-filled celebration of books, reading and imagination at Cowwarr Primary School!
This year’s Children’s Book Week theme was “Symphony of Stories”, celebrating the wonderful collection of characters, ideas and adventures that come to life through books. Throughout the week, students had the opportunity to celebrate stories and share in the enjoyment that reading brings.
Of course, a highlight was our Book Week Dress-Up Day! We had some fantastic costumes, with students and staff bringing an amazing range of favourite book characters to life. It was wonderful to see the creativity, excitement and smiles throughout the school.
Thank you to our families for helping with costumes and joining in the fun. Days like these are a great reminder that books can take us anywhere, introduce us to anyone and bring our whole school together through a shared love of stories. 📖

Swimming
Swimming is such an important life-saving skill, and we really value being able to include it as part of our learning at Cowwarr PS.
This term, our students once again enjoyed lessons with Kemp Aquatics. Their instructors are always so encouraging and supportive, meeting students at their individual skill levels and helping them build confidence in the water.
It was wonderful to see students having a go, challenging themselves and celebrating their progress. A big thank you to Kemp Aquatics for another fantastic swimming program!
