Wellbeing update

We have had another full and productive second half of term 3, with culture club highlighting Chinese, Greek and German cultures and a special R U OK Wellbeing Wednesday on September 9. We will also be saying farewell to both Giovanna and Grace who joined us this term covering Eryn’s leave. We have been so grateful to them both for their support of our students and school community and they will be missed!

R U OK? Day

On September 9, our school participated in highlighting R U OK? Day.

The core message behind R U OK is that a simple conversation with a friend, teammate, colleague,

family member or neighbour could change a life or help them through difficult times before they reach a crisis.

Wellbeing Wednesday set up a range of connection activities during lunchtime that day, including a tea station, game wheel and sock puppet making. It was so nice to see students chatting with each other, enjoying each other’s company and taking the opportunity to check in with each other.

Good Vibes, Good Friends Group for Year 9 Girls – all done!

Thanks to Liz and Giovanna for putting this program together. Students who participated had the opportunity to build better connections, grow in respect and understanding for each other and learned ways to choose kindness in their choices every day – even when it’s tough! The wellbeing team will offer different small group programs throughout the year that are tailored to particular needs of year levels in collaboration with year level coordinators.
