Regional Final success!

Another fantastic achievement by Koonung students!!  In our previous newsletter we congratulated members of the Koonung Chess Club who continued their winning ways again by 2026 taking out 1st Place in the Interzonal Tournament. This led to 10 players qualifying for the Regional Final. 

Please congratulate our team once again after another successful day at Viewbank. Koonung came 2nd overall in teams, and now have an amazing 7 players qualifying for the State Final! 

Thank you to Luke Marinelli and Li Zhou for your wonderful support and encouragement of our students throughout their chess journey. Your dedication and guidance are truly appreciated!
