HPS Fundraiser - Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea
Hurstville Public School will be participating in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea to raise funds for the Cancer Council.
The event will be held on Wednesday 20 May during an extended recess from 11:00am to 11:45am. Parents and carers are warmly invited to join their children in the playground for morning tea.
Students are encouraged to wear yellow or blue mufti to match the theme colours of Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. Students may also wear other colours if they do not have yellow or blue clothing. Please ensure students wear appropriate clothing and closed-in shoes.
Families are invited to bring a gold coin donation, or more if they wish. The P&C will also be coordinating pre-orders of Bubble Tea and Krispy Kreme Donuts through Flexischools, with all proceeds donated to the Cancer Council.
Additional donations can be made via the school fundraising page:https://www.biggestmorningtea.com.au/fundraisers/hurstvilleps

HPS String Ensemble - Now Enrolling for Term 2, 2026
We are excited to share that enrolments are now open for the HPS String Ensemble, proudly led by Lily Monteverdi School of Music.
Over the past three years, our string ensemble has grown beautifully, and this year’s group is stronger than ever. With a strong cello section, a confident violin group and an increasingly polished ensemble sound, this is a wonderful opportunity for students to build their musical skills in a warm, supportive and performance-focused environment.
The program offers expert guidance while helping students grow in confidence, teamwork and musicianship. We would love to welcome more young musicians to join us in Term 2.

- provide a verbal or written explanation for late arrivals - these are recorded as partial absences
- sign their child in at the office if arriving after 9:00 am
- sign their child out at the office before 3:00 pm if leaving early, and provide a reason - this is also recorded as a partial absence

The car parks are reserved for staff and authorised users only.
If a parent/carer enters a school car park at these times:
- Vehicles will be asked to move and use public parking.
Pedestrians will be asked to leave the car park area and use the designated pedestrian gates and pathways.
Thank you for your understanding and support in keeping our school community safe.
