Year 6 Fundraiser Postponed
Unfortunately, the Year 6 Fundraiser had to be postponed. We appreciate the understanding and support of our school community and are looking forward to the event taking place on its new date of Thursday 4 June.
Our Year 6 students have been working hard behind the scenes and are excited to share the event with everyone. Further information and reminders will be communicated closer to the date.
Thank you for your ongoing support of our Year 6 students and fundraising initiatives.
Sentral Family Keys – Kindergarten & New Families
All Kindergarten families and new families to Hurstville Public School have received their Sentral Family Key via email.
The Sentral Parent Portal allows families to access student reports for Semester 1.
If you did not receive your Sentral email, please check your junk/spam folder first. If you are still unable to locate it, please contact the school office via email so we can assist you promptly.
We encourage all families to activate their portal access as soon as possible.
Thank You – Gift A Smile Visit
We would like to sincerely thank Gift A Smile for recently visiting our Support Unit classrooms.
Our students thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and it was wonderful to see the smiles, excitement, and engagement throughout the visit. We greatly appreciate the time, care, and generosity shown to our students and staff.
Thank you for creating such a positive and memorable experience for our school community.
Wellbeing Matters – Finding Balance
As we move further into the term, it is important to continue supporting student wellbeing through healthy balance and routine.
While technology can be a valuable learning and entertainment tool, children also benefit greatly from regular outdoor play, physical activity, social interaction, creativity, and downtime away from screens.
Encouraging simple activities such as:
- outdoor play
- bike riding or walking
- board games
- reading
- family conversations
- creative play
can have a positive impact on children’s wellbeing, sleep, focus, and emotional regulation.
Finding a healthy balance between screen time and active play helps support children to feel happy, connected, and ready to learn. We thank families for their ongoing support in promoting positive wellbeing habits at home.
