Sorry Day Liturgy
On Tuesday, our school community came together to observe National Sorry Day. Held annually on 26 May, this important day remembers and acknowledges the mistreatment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who were forcibly removed from their families and communities—now known as the Stolen Generations. National Sorry Day honours the incredible strength of Survivors and invites us all to reflect on how we can play a part in the healing process for our nation.
This week also marks the launch of National Reconciliation Week 2026 (27 May – 3 June). This year’s powerful theme, "All in for Reconciliation," urges all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements. It challenges each of us to explore how we can actively contribute to achieving true reconciliation in Australia.
