School Council Election Outcome

Thank you to everyone in our school community who engaged in this year’s School Council election process. As mentioned in last week’s newsletter, we were thrilled to receive seven nominations for the three available parent positions, which is a fantastic reflection of the strong interest and commitment within the Montmorency Primary community.

We are also very pleased to share that an exceptionally high number of ballot papers were returned following the yellow envelopes sent home with families. This level of participation is something we are incredibly proud of and speaks to how invested our families are in the direction and governance of our school.

Following the ballot count, I am pleased to announce that Brett Hayes, Stuart MacGibbon and Chloe Antonelli have been successfully elected and will join our School Council. Congratulations to each of them and thank you for your willingness to contribute your time and perspective to support the ongoing work of the school.

I would also like to sincerely thank the other nominees who put themselves forward. Having multiple parents willing to step into these important roles is a real strength of our community and is something we should all feel proud of.

We look forward to welcoming our new members to School Council and continuing the positive work that supports Montmorency Primary School and our students.
