A special day out

Reconciliation Walk
Last Friday, Zoi, Tiana, Oliver, Nathaniel, Leo, Adele, Joshua, Emma, Leila, Angelina, Betti and Cherrie travelled to Chewton near Castlemaine to participate in a Reconciliation Walk organised by the students at Chewton Primary School.
We walked along the Leangook Track learning about; Reconciliation, Uluru Statement of the Heart, Voice, Treaty, Anti-racism, being a good ally and many influential Fist Nations people.
We had a lovely time walking, talking, and reading storyboards in the beautiful sunshine.
The walk finished at Me Mandook Gulk, the Grandmother Tree.
Now we are going to continue the Reconciliation journey by inviting everyone at SJW to make a commitment to Reconciliation, by contributing to a symbolic bridge using our hands.
