Year 9 Campaspe Downs Adventure Camp

Our Year 9 students recently returned from an unforgettable adventure at Campaspe Downs Adventure Camp, where they embraced every challenge with a side of fear or laughter.

Throughout the camp, students were encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, testing their confidence, patience, resilience, and teamwork skills. Whether tackling high-adrenaline activities or supporting one another through challenges, students demonstrated impressive growth and maturity. The camp provided a wonderful bonding experience, strengthening friendships and creating memories that will last for years to come.

A special mention must go to our students for their outstanding conduct. Every student successfully passed the important tests of making their beds, stripping their bedding at the end of camp, tidying their rooms, and cleaning up after meals.

The food was fabulous throughout the camp, keeping everyone well-fuelled for the busy days ahead. Unsurprisingly, the Giant Swing proved to be the greatest hit of the week, delivering thrills, excitement, and plenty of screams. It was responsible for just one set of tears—and, remarkably, they did not belong to a student!

While the weather was not always on our side, it certainly did not dampen spirits. Students and staff persevered through the changing conditions, and in the end, the universe delivered an exceptional experience for all involved.

The teachers also had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed sharing the experience with the students. In fact, it hardly felt like work at all.

Congratulations to all Year 9 students for the positive attitude, resilience, and teamwork they displayed throughout the experience. A huge thank you to the staff that made camp possible and the team in attendance. Campaspe Downs was a fantastic success.
