Rachael Philp - VET Coordinator
We are currently just over the halfway mark of the VET year.
Students will receive their end of semester one reports in the mail over the coming few weeks.
At the beginning of term 3 we will be starting the 2027 VET Enrolment Process. The process will take all of term 3 and we will confirm approved enrolments with students in term 4.
Students in years 10 and 11 will have already brought their VET 2027 Expression of Interest forms home. These are in the colour zesty lemon for 2027. Students can return these forms at any time to the VET office and the deadline is the first week of term 3. Following this, students will be given the enrolment forms or processes that are specific to the Host School and course that they wish to be enrolled into for 2027 and asked to complete their process by specific due dates.
The process is the same for students enrolling in new courses and for those enrolling into a second or third year of a course that they are currently doing.
All forms will have deadline dates assigned to them, and enrolments will be approved on a first in first served basis. It is extremely important for all students to return their forms to the VET office in a timely manner to secure a place in a VET course of their choice in 2027.
Each course offered has limits as to the number of students that can enroll and once they are full, they are full.
For students who are not sure what VET course they would like to be enrolled into in 2027, please make a time to pop into the VET office for a chat or talk to your classroom teachers so that we all can make sure that you have a VET course that you really want to attend.
The 2027 Northern Metropolitan VET Cluster Student Handbook will be available for students to borrow and take home to look at the courses that are available from the first week of next term. Alternatively, the 2027 NMVC Handbook can be accessed via the following QR code. (This is also on the last page of the 2027 Expression of Interest forms)

The 2027 Handbook will feature a staff profile page from our Certificate II in Cookery teacher Russell and from a former external student – Ayden – who attended two VET courses with us from Thomastown Secondary College.
Both featured pages are on display in the VET office if students would like to have a read.
