CROSSFIT STATIONS OPENING

Monday 20th saw the official opening of our three CrossFit stations. Over the past year, our Student Run Council, and our School Council Facilities Committee, have worked hard to instal the equipment, which was funded a few years ago with an Active School Grant. Behind the scenes, Dawso has spent hours working through project management of the site and the contractors involved, with support from Peter Cook, who lent us his expertise and Kim Cross. The RubberTough Galaxy colour was chosen by the students, which really brightens up the space.

This collaboration — supported by contributions from community donors — shows what’s possible when students have a genuine voice and the community works together to make it happen. We sincerely thank members of the Korumburra Lions Club, Koringal Women’s Service Club and KCDA , as well as our Community Engagement Group who raise funds through the annual debutante balls. All these organisations have contributed funds towards this project. They believe in supporting the youth of Korumburra. We’re excited to see our students using the Cross Fit stations equipment.
