In the last newsletter, I asked if anyone had any items that they would like to donate to the College’s archives. Subsequent, Ms Tara County brought in a hockey jersey (image 1) that belonged to her Pa, Mr David Maulden who attended Saints in the early 1950s. She asked if I could find out the names of the players and the Brother in the photo.
Thanks to the Old Boys Facebook group, Mr Bernard Treston (Senior Class of 1955) informed me that the photo is of the 1955 team and the Brother in question is Br Kevin. If anyone can help name any of the players in the photo (image 2) please contact the College.
With St Augustine's 95th anniversary celebration this weekend, I have been spending quite a bit of time going through our photo archives. One image (image 3) that caught my attention was from 1980 and features Tim Cronin and Andre Giuliany, the tallest and the shortest students, respectively, in the College.
