Songfest
Gondwana Nation Choirs are bringing Songfest to Cairns again this year. Conductors are flown in from down south to work with students over the weekend. Last year's experience was fantastic.
Information has been sent home to students in the College Choir to invite them to participate. There will be junior and senior groups. Seniors are rehearsing on Thursday 9 and Friday 10 October with a concert on Saturday 11 October at St Monica’s Cathedral. Registrations and payments through the uniform shop close on 5 September.
SHEP
Congratulations to our students who represented the College in the State Honours Ensemble Program (SHEP) at St Mary’s College last weekend. Students commenced workshops and rehearsals on the Friday after school, culminating in a concert on Sunday afternoon. Ayman Abdalla, Ben Alden, Joseph Keating, Oliver van der Linde and Fletcher Winsor performed in the Wind Ensemble with Leo Barry, Victor David and Nicolo Trevisan in the String Ensemble – Well done gents!
