It's an exeat weekend with a pupil-free day today, 15 August. The exeat is a time for all of us to take a deep breath and re-energise, steady ourselves for the next full-on run to the end of Term 3. Another source of helpful webinars comes from Generation Next.
Associate Professor Mike Nagel, a renowned expert in child and adolescent development, will join the next webinar this month. If you’ve ever wondered why teens behave the way they do – or how to respond without losing your cool – this webinar is for you. A/Prof Nagel will unpack the real, research-backed traits of the teenage brain, and contrast them with the dramatic (and often inaccurate) stereotypes we see in the media. He will provide practical strategies for supporting with empathy and structure. This will be one of those sessions you’ll be talking about afterward. To register for the webinar click here.
