Remembrance Day
Parkdale Secondary College has been a part of Mentone RSL’s Remembrance Day for the last fifteen years, helping our school build better connections with the local community. It also gives our junior school leaders the opportunity to speak in public, and meet with students from other schools. This year, Junior School Captain, Summer Bailey, gave a beautiful reading of ‘Fall the Fallen’, while our Deputy School Captain, Brian Lim, presented a wreath on behalf of the school. After the service, Summer and Brian were able to meet with our local representatives. Chris Hill from Kingston City Council, Mr Tim Richardson MP for Mordialloc, and Mr Mark Dreyfus MP for Isaacs, spent time talking with Summer and Brian about the impacts of remote learning on students. Summer and Brian were fantastic representatives of our school throughout the service.
