Assistant Principal- Senior School

Michael Tuck

A huge congratulations goes to our 2021 Year 12 Students on completing their final VCE examinations in such trying circumstances.  We are very proud of each of you, not just for the completion of the exams, but also in the way in which you conducted yourselves and supported each other throughout the year.  We hope you are able to now celebrate this milestone with friends and family.  There is now the nervous wait for results, which are released 16 December 2021.  Students are reminded that the Pathways, Wellbeing and Student Management teams are available to provide support and guidance as required.

Year 11 Examinations began this week.  It has been pleasing to see students getting down to business and approaching the exams seriously.  While we know the past two years have been challenging, formal examinations provide an opportunity to identify areas of strength and areas to improve.  Students should critically reflect on their preparation and the exam taking technique and consider what they would like to do differently when approaching exams next year.  Year 10 students have settled back to classes well and their exams are taking place in class time, with whole year level formal exams for English and Maths being held during Learning Journeys.

Transition day is Friday 26 November.  On this day students will move to their 2022 year levels.  Students will be voting on the 2022 School Captain, being provided with information relating to their 2022 pathway, receiving new lockers and hearing from a guest speaker.  2022 classes begin Monday 29 November.  A number of students have been changing subjects for 2022.  These changes must be made through Mr Tuck.
