Book Week is coming!

The Children’s Book Council of Australia annual Book Week will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s College Monday 19th to Friday 23rd August.  The program of events before, during and after Book Week for students, staff and families will be in our next College Newsletter.

Premiers’ Reading Challenge

Congratulations to Lily Marriott who is our second student to complete the Premiers’ Reading Challenge.  Lily read and recorded 15 books, which is a fantastic effort!  Lily will be awarded two House Points for Moore House, a PRC Certificate, and a $10 canteen voucher at the next Moore House Assembly.

As of today:

  • 644 students have been registered
  • 160 books have been finished (55 books more since last newsletter)
  • Two students have completed the Challenge.

Please encourage your child to be involved and have fun meeting the Challenge! Many of the books on the PRC booklists are available and on display in the College Library.  The Challenge closes Friday 6th September, 2019, so plenty of time for our students to be involved.

For information about participating in the Premiers’ Reading Challenge contact St. Joseph’s College Challenge coordinator Ms Celine Bush cbush@sje.vic.edu.au or go to https://www.education.vic.gov.au/about/events/prc/Pages/default.aspx
