Dookie Food & Fibre Day

On Friday 24th May  Year 9 students participated in the Dookie Food and Fibre Day. Students travelled to the Dookie Campus of University of Melbourne and took part in workshops related to the agriculture industry. An example of workshops students participated in are:

Insect farming

Poultry

Water Efficiency

Indigenous Foods

Drones

Tractors and Mechanical Technology

Robotics

Ag Business

A farmers challenge at lunch time was very competitive between the 300 students who attended the day!  Students were exposed to and inspired to look at agriculture for future employment and further education opportunities.
