Visiting Masters

Teaching Candidates

During the last four weeks of Term 2 we have been lucky enough to have four Masters of teaching University of Melbourne candidates, in partnership with Shepparton High School.  Jyothi, Patrick, Aiden and Myf continue to develop their teaching experience with our students.  In addition we also have Emma and Justin from La Trobe University currently doing a teaching round at Shepparton High School.

Areas of teaching included Science, Mathematics, Japanese, Physical Education and English (University of Melbourne) and English and Physical Education (LaTrobe).

Our students benefited from their input into the teaching program and it was a two-way street, with our students enabling these budding new teachers valuable learning opportunities in teaching practice.

Ms Caitey Wilton was the Coordinator (and mentor) of the student teacher visits, along with a number of teachers – Ryan McGrath, Tomo Sasaki, Kathryn Keen, Hadleigh Sirett and Vicki Sherwood  who were  also mentors.

We wish them well with their future careers.
