Blue Edge Program
The Blue Edge Program
This is a program run by Victoria Police, Aquamoves and other people in the community, it helps build leadership, communication and teamwork skills. Ten students from Shepparton High School and ten from McGuire College go to Aquamoves each Monday and Wednesday from 8:45am until 10:40am.
On Monday we have gym sessions and on Wednesday we have team activities like boot camp. We also received a Blue Edge T-shirt to wear throughout the program.
During our first week we did a fitness test to see where our fitness sits now and will be comparing it at the end to see how much we have improved.
Students are encouraged to build up their confidence, make friends, learn new skills and boost fitness levels. At the end of each session the students get a rewarding breakfast.
Blue Edge runs for eight weeks and on our last session we have a Graduation Day where we go out all day and do what we like all together as a celebration for finishing the program. Five people will also be chosen from the McGuire College and Shepparton High School Blue Edge group to go on a camp in Term 4.
