Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden

In the garden, Grade 5/6S have found many interesting things to observe. There has been a lovely little family of ladybugs on the zucchini plants. They also found a huge pumpkin!!!  Once again, thank you to Bunnings Vermont South, who donated some lovely flowers and vegetables for the students to plant. We really appreciate the donations.

In Garden Club, we dug up lots and lots of Jerusalem Artichokes. Although they technically aren't an artichoke, they do taste like them.

In the kitchen, Grade 5/6S used the artichokes to make soup. We also made Greek shortbread, flat bread and Sweet Little Onion parcels from Mykonos.
