OLOF School Swimming Sports

The OLOF School Swimming Sports were held on Wednesday the 15th of February at the YAWA Aquatic Centre. A huge ‘thank you’ and ‘well done’ to all of the students in years 3-6 who put their hand up to compete! We had over 60 students sign up this Year which is a great response.

Each student had the opportunity to swim in a race in the four recognised strokes of; Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly and Breaststroke. Whilst competing, students were also earning points for their School House Team.

These swimming sports also helped me to pick a team to represent Our Lady of Fatima at the SSV Phillip District Swimming Carnival which was held yesterday at YAWA (see more information below).

After I tallied all of the points that were earned from this year’s races, our current OLOF Swimming House Champion is…………… Nepean!

Senior School Beach Day 2023

The Year 5 and 6 students attended their first beach day for 2023 at Rosebud/McCrae Life Saving Club on Friday the 24th of February.   It was a very warm day with the wind bringing us some waves to help with our Bodyboarding Fun and Long Board Fun activities. Again, we thank the Rosebud/McCrae Life Saving Club for allowing us to use their facilities for the day.

Our students had a great time rotating through the 6 activities and enjoying the sand and water at our local beach. The students rotated around the following six activities:

Bodyboarding Fun

Beach Education Lesson - Life Saving Club Tour

Long Board Fun

Beach Flags

Beach Cricket

Sand Castle Competition
