Last week we celebrated the beginning of Lent with Ash Wednesday. The whole school attended the Parish Mass, along with parishioners and many parents. The day before we celebrated Shrove Tuesday with pancakes which the school leaders served to the school to raise money for Project Compassion. We raised $245 this year. Well done to all students who donated money to this social justice activity.
Classroom Prayer Mats
The mantra this year for our school is ‘Growing with the Love of God.’ We shared our focus with the school community at Mass for the beginning of the year. We are working on using our kind hearts when at work and pay with our classmates and friends. We are sharing the message of the Gospel in the classroom and learning about prayer in different forms.
Each classroom has created a prayer mat to be used in the classroom during their prayer times.
