Year 7 Football
The Year 7 boys’ footy team ventured to Stawell to play four games, each being two 12 minute halves. The day commenced nice and early, leaving Trinity at 6:30am to play their first game against Horsham at 9:30am. Despite controlling the game for the majority of both halves, the boys struggled to find some forward line connection to get good looks at goal. Both times Horsham went forward, resulting in two goals reflected in the final score of 0.4 to 2.1.
In the second game we took on Warrnambool College and again Trinity looked the better team. However, just like in the first game, the boys struggled to convert and put any scoreboard pressure on and the game ended 1.1 to 2.2. Game three against Mercy Regional College the boys clicked into gear with some cleaner skills and converted good shots on goal, winning by 14 points. In the fourth game, we played Phoenix and once again the boys put in a strong performance and displayed excellent team work to win 3.3 to 2.1. Overall finishing the day 2-2, all players are to be congratulated on the way they played and conducted themselves on the day.
