MUSIC CONCERTS!!!

This week we held two music concerts in the school stadium. We had the Senior Soiree on Wednesday 14th June and the Middle Soiree on Thursday 15th June. We had a lot of amazing performances from our students. The Senior Soiree featured solo performances from our Yr5 and Yr6 students, as well as group performances from the String Group, Senior Choir, Rock Band and Orchestra. The Middle Soiree showcased a range of solo performances from our Yr3 and Yr4 students. Our two Music Leaders, Isabelle 6KM and Nathan 6CP, hosted both events, introducing performances and selecting the winners of the Best Solo Performances for each concert. Isabelle and Nathan used a scoring system and extensive notetaking to select the winners. Three awards were handed out at each concert, one award for each year level and one extra award for another deserving student at each concert. The winners of the Best Solo Performances from the Senior Concert were Abigail 5RC (violin), Howen 6AS (piano) and Hiya 5GP (vocal). The Best Solo Awards at the Middle School Concert went to Eason 4JH (piano), Laurence 4JH (piano) and Mark 3AW (piano). Thank-you to everyone who came along to support the students.
