Year 10 Community Challenge

FREE BAKED GOODIES!!!

But how and when will I get these goodies?!

On Monday 20th August during period 1 (assembly / Wellbeing), representatives of 10C1 will be coming around to each Year 7 and Year 8 class to collect small donations and in return, we’ll provide you with FREE baked goods (made by us) as a thank you!

Why are we doing this?

As part of the Year 10 Community Challenge, 10C1 chose to support and raise awareness for the St Kilda Mums organisation.

St Kilda Mums is an organisation which recycles pre-loved clothes and toys and other baby essentials to families in need.

What can I donate?

St Kilda Mums accepts gifts such as:

  • Art and craft materials
  • Baby food
  • Towels
  • Bibs
  • Cot linen and blankets
  • Children’s books
  • Bottles and feeding equipment
  • CDs and DVDs for children
  • Nappies: Disposable and cloth
  • Clothing: From birth size to size 12
  • Pyjamas: From birth size to size 12
  • Games for children
  • Baby wipes
  • Wraps for babies
  • Unopened toiletries
  • Children’s shoes

And especially during the winter season…

  • Coats
  • Jumpers
  • Jeans
  • Hats

So the next time you’re doing your house “winter” cleaning, put your unwanted items to good use and donate them to those who need your help!

And the best part is, not only will you be making a difference, but you will receive yummy treats for doing so!

The posters around school will remind you and we will talk about it at your next assembly.

If your daughter is not a student un Years 7 or 8 you can still donate. Please ask your daughter to drop off any donations to Mr Hilton in the Languages Office at any time.
