2018 Parent Opinion Survey

Our school is taking part in the annual Parent Opinion Survey, offered by the Department of Education and Training. It is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of parents’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour and student engagement. Our school will use the survey results to help inform and direct future school planning and improvement strategies.

Approximately 30 per cent of families will be randomly selected and invited to participate in this year’s online survey. All responses to the survey are anonymous. The survey only takes 10-15 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time within the fieldwork period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones. The online survey will be available in a range of languages other than English. These include: Arabic, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Chin (hakha), Hindi, Japanese, Somali, Turkish, Punjabi and Greek.

The Parent Opinion Survey will be conducted from Monday 30th July to Sunday 26th August. If your family has been selected to take part, you will receive an email from me on Monday 30th July with the survey link and PIN. Where two parents share the same login to Compass, the email will be sent to the first email address associated with that login.

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
