Reminder – Assessment and Reporting Survey for Parents

As you would be aware, at Melbourne Girls’ College we use Compass to provide you with information regarding your child’s academic achievement and progress:

  • Teachers regularly update your child’s Learning Tasks with grades and comments about what your child has achieved and areas for improvement.
  • This is supplemented with Progress Reports during Terms 1 and 3 before bookings open for Parent/Student/Teacher Conferences.
  • End of semester reports are provided at the end of Terms 2 and 4, summarising the student’s work habits, Learning Task results and comments and for Years 7-10 students, Victorian Curriculum achievement levels.

This system has been in place since 2016. We are currently reviewing our assessment and reporting system to ensure that it provides the best possible feedback for your child and you as parents/carers as well as being manageable for teachers.

As part of this review we invite you to complete a short 11 question survey. The average time taken to complete the survey is 4 minutes. Thank you to the 165 parents who have responded so far.

Parents can find the survey link via the newsfeed in Compass. The survey will be open until Friday 27th July.
