Spring School Holiday Activities

Put a ‘spring’ in your step these school holidays with these creative and fun activities with Bayside City Council Youth Services. The activities are open to young people aged between 10 and 17 with a connection to Bayside (live, work, school, play). The exception to the age range is the FriYays Pop Up which is open to young people aged 12 and 18.

Bayside Upstanders Project Launch

You are invited to join us for the official launch of Bayside's Upstanders project 2025.

Words are like muscles use them to lift is a collaborative project between Bayside City Council, Billilla studio program artist and author Cassy Polimeni, and a network of five schools across Bayside who are part of ‘The Upstanders’ community. Cassy led workshops with 130 grade five students who each created stories against bullying, culminating in an anthology of stories that will be published in a series of 5 books. Their stories are aimed at inspiring fellow students, and our community, to speak up, find their voice, and support each other in the fight against bullying. The books will be available in Bayside and school libraries from mid-October.

Now in its 13th year, the annual Upstanders program invites young people to upskill their knowledge on social and emotional learning and exercise their creative talents in spreading positive community messages.
