Bachelor of Accounting Co-op Scholarship students - Old Boys
On Wednesday evening, College staff members Mrs Veronica Bamber and I had the pleasure of attending the 2026 UTS Welcome Ceremony for the Bachelor of Accounting Co‑op Scholarship students.
This prestigious program continues to distinguish itself as one of Australia’s leading business degrees, offering students a unique combination of paid industry internships and a three‑year scholarship supported by major sponsors including PwC, Macquarie Group and the ASX.
We were delighted to see familiar faces and to celebrate the achievements of our past and present students as they continue to excel. A special congratulations to our outstanding alumni Elliot Cook and Joshua Sheather (Class of 2022), Enoch Lu (Class of 2023), Quinton Crispe (Class of 2024), and Sebastian Blaine and Ryan Horan (Class of 2025) whose hard work and dedication continue to make our College proud.

Academic Mentors
On Tuesday, our Year 10 Academic Mentors met their Year 7 mentees, for the first time, during recess. The boys enjoyed meaningful conversations about exam preparation, favourite subjects and books, and took the opportunity to get to know one another in a relaxed and supportive setting.
This mentoring group will continue to meet throughout the year, with our Year 10 students drawing on their experience, insights and shared academic strengths to guide and encourage their younger peers as they begin their high school journey.

Summer ArtLab Exhibition
Summer Artlab concluded this week with an exhibition and afternoon tea held for the students, their parents and families. Ex-student mentors Fergus Fung and Jordan Moore were on hand to present the students with certificates acknowledging their two terms of commitment. The students were very excited to hang their works for the exhibition and to welcome their families to a celebration of their creativity.
Mercy College Visual Arts Student Visit
Students from Mercy College Year 12 Visual Arts visited our classroom during yesterday's Major Works Day with their teacher, Ms Jane Lennon. Each student made a short presentation sharing their progress, showing their work and discussing their concepts and plans. Some of the students commented:
‘It was interesting to see the range of ideas and the way they had represented them.’
‘It was interesting to see a different perspective.’
‘It is a good way to benchmark how far along I am with my artworks.’
The students were grateful for the opportunity to share ideas and experiences and we look forward to another visit to see their progress.

It has been encouraging to see so many students taking advantage of the opportunity to strengthen their skills and seek support through Maths Drop-In. It is fantastic to see such enthusiasm for learning and a commitment to building confidence in Mathematics.
Next term, why not make this your goal?
