Reflection
Easter Reflection
As we approach Easter, we pause to reflect on the meaning of this sacred time in our Catholic faith. Good Friday reminds us of Jesus’ great love and sacrifice, calling us to reflect on compassion, humility and service to others.
Easter Sunday brings a message of hope and new life. The resurrection reminds us that light follows darkness, hope overcomes despair, and love is at the heart of all we do. As a school community, this season invites us to live with kindness, forgiveness and gratitude, and to carry hope into our daily actions.
May this Easter bring peace, renewal and joy to you and your families.
Easter Prayer
Loving God,
We thank You for the hope of Easter
and for the love shown through Jesus’ life, death and resurrection.
Help us to live as people of compassion and kindness,
sharing hope and care with all those around us.
Bless our school, our community and our families
with peace, joy and new beginnings.
Amen.
Thank you for Term 1
As we come to the end of a very full term, I would like to thank our school community for their continued support and commitment. Our students have taken part in many engaging and enriching activities, including masses, incursions and excursions, camps, performing arts events, sporting achievements and exams. They should all be proud of their efforts.
Thank you to our dedicated staff for their hard work and care, and to our parents and carers for the important role you play in supporting student learning. Most of all, thank you to our students for their enthusiasm, resilience and willingness to get involved.
We wish Mr de Silva and Mrs Williams a wonderful, well deserved Long Service Leave break for Term 2. I wish everyone a safe and restful break.
Cocurricular Program
The winter sports program commenced last weekend with our annual trial game day, where rugby and football teams took to the field against St Aloysius’ College. A special congratulations goes to our 1st XV rugby team, who proudly brought home the Ross Fagan Memorial Shield for the third consecutive year.
Saturday also saw the SPX Tennis Championships being held. Congratulations to Connor Huynh, who claimed the Junior Boys Title, and to Adrian Yip, who was crowned the SPX Tennis Champion for 2026.
Throughout the holiday break, a range of sporting teams will be representing the College at various competitions and tours. Our Under 15/16 rugby team is travelling to Fiji, while the 1st XI football team will head to Queensland alongside footballers from the Junior School. In addition, our junior rugby team will journey to Armidale for our annual competition. Rugby and football training camps will also be held at Oxford Falls.

Interim Reports for students in Year 5 - 10 were released to the Sentral portal yesterday. The purpose of the Interim Report is to provide an initial indication of how your son has settled into his learning for each of his subjects.
