Twilight Tunes

Despite the wet weather forcing our performers and audience into the community centre instead of the courtyard, we had a fantastic Twilight Tunes on the 26th of March! The Class Orchestra, Symphonic Strings, Harmonix Choir, Stage Band, Chamber Strings, and a wonderful selection of student-led ensembles and VCE music performances showcased the hard work of all our young musicians!

We all made use of the barbecue put on by the VEX Robotics World Champion Team (thanks Mr Wang and Ms Legg).

Our next major performance is the Winter Concert at the end of Term 2, which will have two shows in one night showcasing all the ensembles and a selection of smaller acts. This one will certainly sell out fast so keep an eye out for the ticket link in Term 2.

NEVR  Concert

The NEVR concert performance is coming up on May 13th! This evening event at Hamer Hall (opposite Flinders St Station) showcases ensembles made up of students from schools all across the region - and it's probably no surprise, but that involves a large group of students from Highvale! All are welcome - here's the link to the event https://sites.google.com/education.vic.gov.au/nevrmusic/nevr-youth-concert

VCE Music Excursion - Top Class Music & Sound

The VCE Music class went to the Melbourne Recital Centre to experience student performances from last year's VCE Music subjects (from all across the state). Excellent standard of playing and good inspiration for all of our skilled VCE musicians. You can check out their work in progress programs towards the end of Term 2 and at some upcoming lunchtime concerts.
