Term 2 Wrap Up!
It has certainly been a very busy term, with incursions, excursions, Gr 5/6 Camp, Middle School swimming, Book Fair, athletics, Mother's Day, Donut drive, lots of 2027 Prep tours and still to come, our Blast from the Past Exhibit for Gr 1 and 2, Regional Cross Country and Crazy Hair day in the last two weeks!
A reminder that we finish at 2.30pm on Friday 26th June, the last day of Term 2.
Kiss and Go Reminders
Just a reminder to leave the walking path clear when driving in to the staff car park. This allows people to cross safely. We do not always have someone on lollypop duty, so this is one way that we can make sure that our kids and families are able to get back to their cars.
A big thank you to our dads who have been helping put our cones out to stop people entering the staff carpark until 3.30pm. We understand that this can be frustrating, however it is stopping the traffic banking up through the roundabout and further along Brown's Road. It is about keeping the roads around our school safe.
Thank you to those parents who contacted me about the aggressive truck driver last week. We were able to get a photo of his truck and rego and I was able to report the issue to the police.
Reports and Parent Teacher Interviews
Earlier this term, we made the difficult decision to move our Parent Teacher Interviews to Week 1 of Term 3 due to the AEU industrial action. The Compass bookings for Parent Teacher Interviews will be open this week for you to lock in your times. Reports will now go out to families on Thursday 17th June, a week later than in the Events Calendar. A reminder that, due to the AEU industrial action, individual report comments will not be included in these reports, however students will get a progress (dot) page to indicate if they are at level, below level or above expected level. Please use the Parent Teacher Interviews to ask questions about your child's learning progress so far this year. A detailed and individualised written comment report will go out at the end of the year. Learning Tasks are also available on Compass for you to see how your child is tracking throughout each term.
Finish Time on Friday
A reminder that we finish at 2.30pm on Friday for the last day of term. It is also Crazy Hair Day- I can't wait to see all the wacky creations!! Students can come in free dress OR in green and gold to support our Socceroos who will be playing at 12:00pm that day.
Have a wonderful last two weeks of term.
Cate
