What have we been learning about in our Chinese class?

Foundation
We have been learning to say hello, greet friends and teachers, introduce ourselves and count from 1 to 10 in Mandarin. Through engaging songs and fun games, we have strengthened our learning in a lively and interactive way.

Year 1 and 2
We have been reviewing basic greetings, about myself, number counting, and colours. Students have enjoyed singing, dancing, and even choreographing the song themselves, making the learning experience both fun and engaging.

Year 3 and 4
We have been reviewing greetings, number counting, colours and Pinyin phonics system. Students also had the opportunity to work in groups to perform role-plays, applying the sentences they have learned in Mandarin.

Year 5 and 6
We have been reviewing self-introductions, number counting, colours, family members, Pinyin phonics system and learning about the Chinese Zodiacs. Students had the opportunity to work in pairs to perform role-plays in Mandarin. They also had the chance to recite the story about the Chinese Zodiacs, enhancing their understanding of Chinese culture and humanities.

Wishing everyone in the Black Rock community a very happy and safe Easter holiday!
