She gives new things a go, even when they feel a little tricky, and keeps trying when something doesn’t work the first time. It has been lovely to see her confidence growing each day. 4BGeorgia CoxPerserveranceGeorgia has had a brilliant start to Year 4, swimming with outstanding speed at the Seaside District Swimming Carnival. Georgia has also shown a great commitment to her learning, showing persistence in Math lessons and determination to understand new addition, subtraction and multiplication strategies so that she can use them with confidence. Keep it up Georgia!
4CSophie WoodsKindnessSophie consistently shows kindness and care in our Year 4C classroom. She is always ready to help others, whether it’s offering support with learning or including classmates in activities. Sophie recently went out of her way to look after a new student, making her feel safe and welcome at our school. Her thoughtful actions set a wonderful example of what it means to be a caring and responsible member of our class community.
5/6CJett Whitmore Love of LearningJett has shown great focus and commitment to his learning this term. Starting the term late hasn’t stopped him from fully engaging in class and catching up where needed. He works hard to complete tasks to a high standard and uses feedback thoughtfully to improve his understanding. Jett’s effort and dedication are wonderful to see. Keep up the great work Jett!

She consistently contributes to class discussions and asks thoughtful questions to deepen her understanding. She also listens thoughtfully and is considered in class. Emily will put her hand up to answer questions and really is a valued member of the class.
5/6EGwen Moore Love of LearningGwen has really embraced our narrative writing unit this term. This week she wrote her resolution for her story, and she was full of so many ideas that she filled more than an A3 page. Gwen you are a star and I can’t wait for the finished text about Yuri the pigeon!
1BHenrik MarshallBraveryHenrik has been challenging himself each day, stepping outside of his comfort zone and approaching new situations with a positive and resilient mindset. I am so proud of the way he has come into the classroom ready to learn, showing confidence and a willingness to give things a go. Peter worked thoughtfully with his group, listening to others’ ideas and sharing his own in a respectful way. He showed great cooperation and helped his group stay focused and on task.

She has used her single paragraph outline to effectively structure her ideas and included some great high modality words to support her argument that books are more powerful than screens. 4ASophie ManuellLove of LearningSophie shows a deep interest in History and a thoughtful understanding of why events in the past occurred. She confidently shares her knowledge with the class, enriching our learning with her insights and engaging stories.
4CLachlan SoiferKindnessLachlan consistently shows kindness by helping both his classmates and his teacher whenever it’s needed. He is always ready to make sure everyone feels included, going out of his way to support others. Lachlan is a genuine friend who makes our classroom a happier and more welcoming place. She is a highly valued member of the Year 6 cohort, always showing a positive attitude and a willingness to help others.
