Principal's Report

Kaylene Kubeil

Whilst the weather was a little drizzly to start our photo day this week, it did not dampen our spirits (or smiles). It was great to see everyone in their uniforms, with such pride, and to see our school's Respect Your School expectation being upheld. It was a highlight when all our sibling photos were taken, as we really did acknowledge the family connections and strong sense of community at the school. We look forward to having these photos back very soon so they can be displayed and shared with your extended family and friends.

Our Newest 'Enrolment'

This week, we welcome a new member to our Whittlesea Primary School community, a Kangaroo and her joey.  Whilst it was a very unusual sight as she arrived at the school, we are very pleased that she is now looking over our indigenous garden.

I would like to acknowledge the generotiry of the Aumann's Clearance Centre in Plenty who kindly donated her to our school.

Watch this space... the 'new' Sensory Space

Last year, we were very happy to share that we had secured a sensory equipment grant. This grant includes the equipment and installation. We are looking forward to seeing our new Bubble Tube with Fibre Optics within a Sofa Podium stand, LED Strip Lighting, Infinity Mirror, Light-up Liquid Tiles Balance Beam, Large Coloured Lighting Controller, and Three Tactile Wall Panels. Prior to installation, the Sensory Space will be fully painted. Work is due to commence very soon.

We are so lucky to have this space, as it is invaluable in supporting all the allied health professionals working with our students. This is a very important service that we are offer at our school.
