Next week, students in Year 3 and Year 5 will begin participating in NAPLAN. These assessments give teachers a snapshot of each child’s skills in Reading, Writing, Spelling, Grammar, and Numeracy.
While NAPLAN is important, it’s just one part of your child’s learning journey.
Our NAPLAN testing schedule will be as follows:
Week 7:
Writing – Wednesday 11th March (Year 3: 9:30am, Year 5: 9:30am)
Reading – Thursday 12th March (Year 3: 9:30am, Year 5: 12:00pm)
Week 8:
Conventions of Language – Monday 16th March (Year 3: 9:30am, Year 5: 12:00pm)
Numeracy – Tuesday 17th March (Year 3: 9:30am, Year 5: 12:00pm)

If you have any questions about NAPLAN, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s classroom teacher.

We wish all of our Year 3 and Year 5 students the best of luck with their NAPLAN testing. We are extremely proud of their hard work and can not wait to see how they all go.
We are loving the work of all our artists in our WPS Art Studio.
Victorian Curriculum 2.0: Visual arts creative processes and practice provide insights into the impacts culture can have on ways of knowing, doing and being in Australia and the world. Investigating these impacts is integral to fostering students’ abilities to discern and understand the unique ways visual arts practice and creative processes can be both related and distinct to learning about culture.
